Join us at Vintners Yard and Davy’s Wine Vaults in Greenwich to explore the wines of Piedmont, hosted by the Pelassa winery’s owner, Daniele Pelassa. After the tasting, enjoy a selection of artisan pizza with wine pairings from these fantastic vineyards.  

We are thrilled to welcome Daniele to host a masterclass in his wines, including two fantastic Barolos. Daniele runs the 12-hectare vineyard with his brother Davide in Montà d’Alba, Piedmont. Their commitment and passion for wine allows them to produce some stunning “romantic” wines which are becoming increasingly well recognised, regularly receiving admirable scores and accolades from international wine critics. As their reputation has grown, so too has the need for a new winery, with production now in a state-of-the-art facility.

Perfect pairings

After an aperitif in to brighten up your palate, Daniele will talk us through the history of the winery and winemaking in Piedmont more generally. You will then taste some of the estate’s finest wines, including Roero Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Barolo. The tasting will be followed by a specially prepared selection of artisan pizza with wine pairings. Daniele and members of our team will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. 

The ticket price includes an aperitif followed by a tutored tasting, plus wine selected to accompany a selection of pizza. Please note, seating will be at a communal table and may include sharing dishes.
